Yes. I've noticed the same thing.

It is worth considering the issue of time zones when deciding when to hit the “publish” button. As a UK writer I have noticed that if I make an early start to the day, and publish first thing, it can take quite a while for an article to get traction and responses later in the day, when readers in different times zones come to life.
