Planets and stars spilled from the sparkling whorl

dripping from her lips, splashing on her knees.

This pearl, her treasure, eclipsed the bleak and sent forth

beams and gleaming sparks with twinkling trails.

Captivated, she watched the pearl grow and glimmer,

shuddering and spinning. Now cool in her hands,

the light’s expanse spread until the night sky shone like

a beacon of faith. Never had the girl met such a clear

brightness, so pure and wisdom-filled, and she tossed the

orb in her mouth knowing nothing would be the same again.
