Studies show it changes your brain (in a good way). It gives you more control, but doesn’t stop you being passionate and loving life. Quite the opposite. I’m not trying to convert you, though. Everyone finds their own way. Just saying it works for me and research is favorable.

In one study, looking at a monk’s brain, a scan showed his frontal lobe lit up with ease. The area concerned with happiness was incredible, (much bigger than most people’s) and scientists put this down to his mediation sessions. You need not meditate as often, or as long, as the monk to get good results.
