Nature Shows Us Abundance, Warmth, and Joy
Let the natural world guide you to the spirit of Christmas
Those days when the snow plows deep,
and it’s hard to find the Christmas spirit between strain and hope,
fox digs down and curls nose-to-tail:
There’s warmth in a safe nook.
Winter spreads her icy fingers wide.
But squirrel sits amid abundance gathered long before that first-morning frost.
The white horse gallops in the winter snow,
her mane flowing through the chill of it,
and joy follows in leaps and bounds.
