How to get there from here
To reach inside the moment,
climb beneath illusion’s cover,
makes your eyes bulge.
Just swallow all your yesterdays,
hold your breath,
and be sure tomorrow stays away.
Then,
when memories flee through your gaping nostrils,
and ‘later’ finds a way in through your ears:
Gasp.
Let it happen.
And there you’ll be,
for two seconds,
smack,
bang,
in the middle of now.
