Each Christmas card takes a year to write (it feels like), because I stop to think of loved ones. I place my love inside the envelope and seal it tight. When received, the contents will leap out like fireworks to light every home. It will happen like this:
Tight inside the envelope,
ignited by the fireside glow,
sit with patient expectation,
for on your marks, set, go!
They long to swarm around their people,
those to whom they will belong,
and unleash the love for which they are a token,
in merriment and song.
