Just So You Know
The big “I’m Sorry” Challenge
Thank you to Sheri Jacobs for the poetry challenge. The idea was to create a poem along the lines of the poet William Carlos Williams’ apology poem (This Is Just To Say) as seen below:
I have eaten
the plums
that were in
the iceboxand which
you were probably
saving
for breakfastForgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold _ William Carlos Williams
My poem
Just So You Know
I have opened
the blind,
though you like to
rest in the dark
and might
require more
beauty sleep
before noon.
Forgive me,
the umbrella plant
on the ledge
needed sun.
