I suspect there is a difference between slasher flicks and Hitchcock type of movies. I only watch films with good story lines that aren't heavy on gore. Unless I get caught out, of course. I soon switch terrible ones off, though. I prefer intelligent films. I'm sure they affect the mind in more positive ways.
