Goodness! Wish I knew how to help you. It all sounds so odd. My first thoughts are do you live near some kind of electrical plant? Chemical site? Other potential industrial problem site? Was one built on the site you now live before? Power-lines under the ground perhaps? It's not you being 'sensitive' as your dogs have it too.
