Goodness! I've had lucid dreams in which I've done the same, but certainly never unless I encounter an out-of-body experience. Do you think this is what happened to you (OBE)? Incidentally, I've had several OBEs when fully awake during the day, and they weren't near-death experiences. This is why I ask you. We have various states of consciousness, and I wouldn't say any were less real than others.
