Agreed! It happens. I do my best to ignore it on Medium. People do sometimes miss what we write and promote their stuff. I, of course, don't clap for such responses and hope they fall behind in a heap! As for 'friends' not including me in the conversation. if interjecting didn't work, I'd probably wonder off and do something more rewarding these days!
