"A slight paradox of sorts." Yes. My opinion (so not necessarily true for everyone) is that the soul wants peace. But sometimes, the ego is afraid. The ego I refer to is the persona rather than a wicked part of someone. Many people are afraid of stillness and losing all of those things that make life busy and help them feel important. Stillness is akin to a loss of the egoic drama of life, which many depend on to show they exist. Thank you for your comment, Rene! Being peace means living mindfully and in ways that promote peace with every interaction rather than practicing a set method. Although, some methods may certainly bring momentary peacefulness and are valuable.
